Profile - Roles and Responsibilities | |||||||||||
To start as the on-site manager for the Kamina University Project, then to be used across civil projects (e.g. schools) in the ranches. ● Labor Management ○ Mobilize and maintain a reliable workforce from the local community. ○ Monitor labor productivity and ensure alignment with project timelines. ○ Facilitate transparent and timely payment to all laborers in coordination with Finance. ● Construction Quality Assurance and Bricks Production ○ Supervise the work of local masons to ensure structural integrity and adherence to quality standards. ○ Ensure that all building processes follow approved designs and technical guidelines. ○ Monitor on-site brick moulding and baking activities. ○ Enforce quality controls to ensure bricks meet the project’s specifications. ● Project Monitoring & Bottleneck Resolution ○ Identify and eliminate delays in construction caused by material shortages or other on-ground issues. ○ Conduct regular follow-ups with suppliers and relevant teams to ensure seamless operations. ● Material Planning & Local Sourcing ○ Provide timely material requirement lists to the Stores for collection. ○ Identify and arrange for land-based/local materials such as sand, gravel, clay, etc. ● Reporting & Documentation ○ Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on project progress, site activities, and issues. ○ Maintain up-to-date logs of material deliveries, consumption, and inventory balance. ● Financial Record Keeping ○ Maintain detailed, accurate and up-to-date records of all on-site expenses, purchases, and labor payments. ● Stakeholder Communication ○ Communicate resource requirements and project needs proactively to the Management. ○ Support Management with data and logistics for decision-making and project planning. ● Local Vendor Identification ○ Identify capable local masons, suppliers, and craftsmen for specialized materials or services. ○ Share vetted supplier/vendor information with the procurement and management team. ● Project Support ○ Assist with all additional tasks required for the smooth implementation of the project. |
