Purpose of the role

The Operations Manager is responsible for operational movements related to all GoCongo Group ,he is responsible for overseeing the management of fuel consumption, toll expenses, and the daily operations of the drivers within the company’s fleet. This includes monitoring fuel usage, managing toll payments, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, and optimizing driver performance for cost-efficiency and safety.


Profile - Roles and Responsibilities

Fuel Management: 
Monitor and manage fuel consumption across the entire fleet, Ensure accurate tracking of fuel usage and +C17:F25implement strategies to optimize fuel efficiency. Coordinate with fuel suppliers and manage fuel procurement, Conduct regular fuel audits and implement corrective actions if necessary.

Toll Management : Oversee toll payment processes for the fleet. Track toll usage, ensure compliance with toll regulations, and manage toll-related costs. Investigate and resolve any toll disputes or issues. Ensure the timely renewal of toll passes or cards for all vehicles.

Driver Supervision: 
Coordinate and manage the daily activities of drivers, ensuring that they follow routes efficiently and comply with safety standards. Monitor driver performance, including adherence to schedules, fuel efficiency, and compliance with transportation regulations. Organize regular training for drivers on safety, driving practices, and operational procedures. Ensure that drivers maintain proper documentation, such as driving licenses, medical checks, and certifications.

Fleet Management Support: 
Assist in vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure fleet readiness. Track vehicle performance and report on any issues related to fuel efficiency or driver handling.

Reporting and Analysis: 
Prepare and present regular reports on fuel, toll costs, and driver performance. Analyze data and identify areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements. Provide actionable recommendations to senior management based on findings.

Management of operational problems : Resolve operational problems related to transport, such as delays, etc., Implement emergency procedures to minimize interruptions.

Compliance and Safety
Ensure that all fuel, toll, and driver operations comply with local and national laws and regulations. Monitor safety performance, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

GPS monitoring:  

Manage GPS to assess operational efficiency. Analyze trips data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective initiatives.

Risk Management: Identify potential planning risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures, significantly reduce product losses in dry and fresh business

Additional Requirements
  1. Salary - USD 2000 net per month.
  2. Excellent knowledge in French or Swahili.
  3. Working knowledge of English.
