We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Finance Manager to join our team at Gocongo. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management, accounting, and reporting of the farm's finances. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with legal requirements related to financial reporting.

Profil - Rôles et responsabilités

Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Farm Director and Senior Leadership Team.
    • Monitor financial performance against budget, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legal requirements.

Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare regular financial reports for budget holders and quarterly trustee meetings.
    • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Use data visualization to present complex financial information clearly.

Risk Management:

    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as deviations from reserves policy or funding gaps.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies.

Operational Efficiency:

    • Oversee day-to-day finance functions, including payroll, procurement, and invoicing.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

Leadership and Management:

    • Line manage the Farm Bookkeeper and other finance staff as needed.
    • Provide guidance on financial matters to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Fundraising and Grants:

    • Support grant fundraising by providing financial data and reports.
    • Ensure accurate financial reporting for grants.

Communication and Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Farm Director, Finance Trustee, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards of financial systems and procedures.
    • Liaise with external service providers, such as accountants and banks.

  1. Salary - USD _xxx____ net per month.
  2. Excellent knowledge in French or Swahili.
  3. Working knowledge of English.
